Eat, Sleep, Play Soccer - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for Moxxie today using the new Soccer line. Both of my daughters are playing soccer this season. I'm horrible at getting clear action shots so I thought a photo of my daughter's cleats on the sideline would be a fun way to document one of her soccer moments.

I used a Soccer Cardstock Sticker for the title of my page.

I borrowed this soccer ball and "soccer" sentiment from the older Soccer collection. I tucked the word "soccer" under my photo and attached the soccer ball to the top of my photo with foam mounting tape to add some dimension to my page.

I layered cardstock and patterned paper down the left side of my page and topped it with a printed barcode strip that I cut from the top of one of the B-sides of Soccer patterned paper.

I tucked circle shaped cardstock stickers between layers of patterned paper on this page. The green border on this sticker was a great place to add a name and the date.

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I want to remind you that today is the last day to submit applications for the Moxxie Design Team Call.

That's What He/She Said Domino Set - Tando Creative

Hi! I'm sharing a set of dominoes for the "Anything Goes" theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. If I had a penny for every time my husband said "That's what she said," I'd be a very rich woman! I thought it would be fun to alter some dominoes, one for him and one for me. The NEW Mini People were the perfect size for these Straight Dominoes.

I embellished the background of the dominoes with the NEW Long Flourish Mask and the Dotted Star Mask. I added some Mini Stars that I painted a bright yellow for a fun pop of color and some strips of clear patterned washi tape.

Gift Box + Card Set - Quick Quotes

Hi! I'm sharing a gift box and card set for Quick Quotes today. I've combined papers from the NEW Calypso and Serendipity collections. The box measures approximately 3.5 x 3.5 x 3.75 inches.

To create the box I cut triangles from the center of each side of the Serendipity 300 patterned paper, following the dark green line as a guide, which resulted in an x-shaped piece of paper. I then folded the paper into a box and used masking tape on the inside of the box to secure the sides.

I embellished the top of the box with layered blooms that I cut from the Calypso 200 patterned paper. I inked the petals of each flower with Caribbean Blue PowderPuff Chalking Ink. I cut a sentiment from one of the NEW Quote Cards.

I created this card using scraps of paper leftover from the two layouts I created this month. The sentiment was cut from the Calypso 500 patterned paper.

I created this set with the upcoming Mother's Day holiday in mind, but could really adapt this set for use all year long by changing the embellishments for the season or occasion.

Fun - Craft-Dee BowZ

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created for Craft-Dee BowZ today. I like big bows and I cannot lie! I really like to use big bows on my layouts. The theme this month on the Craft-Dee BowZ Blog is layers and I had a lot of fun layering patterned papers and embellishments on this page.

Not counting the sweet photo of my daughter, this beautiful bow is my favorite element on this page, and I couldn't have created this gorgeous bow with my Craft-Dee BowZ Tool. I hope I have inspired you to add a big bow to your next scrapbook layout!

Spring Card in a Box - Tando Creative + Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a card in a box that I created for the "Spots" theme this week on the Tando Creative Design Blog. I used the NEW Moxxie Easter-rific collection. The flowers are in bloom and I've managed to capture a little bit of Spring in this project.

This card folds completely flat for mailing! If you'd like to create one for yourself, check out this fantastic video tutorial. I think the polka dot B-sides of the Moxxie Easter-rific patterned papers are super fun. I used Think Spring and Just Hatched to embellish the sides of this card. The Moxxie Easter Border Stickers were a quick and easy way to add patterned designs to the sides of the card.

I used one of the Moxxie Easter Element Stickers for the focal point of this card. I used the NEW Tando Grass Flexistrips to fill in the center of the card and added some super cute Tando Mini Rabbits.

The Grass Flexistrips are just one of many fantastic new designs offered by Tando Creative. You can check out all the 2014 Trade Show releases HERE.

Also, don't forget to check out the Moxxie Design Team Call! You have until April 28th to apply.

Stuffed Easter Bunny - Paper Wings Productions

Stamped Easter Bunny Ears by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Hi! I went off-the-page for my Mixed Media Monday post for Paper Wings Productions and created this super cute stuffed bunny with the April Vintage Easter Nesting Components Mixed Media Kit. The muslin in the kit was just begging to be transformed. I used a Martha Stewart Bunny Pattern for this project. Anyone who knows me is aware of the fact that sewing is not one of my talents. The construction of this bunny was definitely a comedy of errors! That being said, I'm quite happy with how this project turn out given my extremely limited skill set.

Easter Egg Clip Art Gel Medium Image Transfer on Muslin by Dana Tatar

In addition to sewing, I also added an egg-shaped image transfer to the body of the bunny using one of the images from the clip art sheet and gel medium. I further embellished the fabric with stamping using the Paper Wings Productions Easter Cling Stamp Set, which is a delightful collection of Easter, Spring, and religious sentiments and images hand drawn by Liz Allen. I kept the stamping to a minimum, but I think it would be really fun to stamp a pretty print onto the fabric before sewing.

Please stop by the Paper Wings Productions Blog for the full tutorial!

Vintage Easter Spring Mixed Media Tag by Dana Tatar

If you're looking for a fun paper craft, I created this Easter/Spring themed tag using the same kit. I had a lot of fun embellishing this tag with the beautiful floral bouquet, sheet music, chipboard and pretty trims from the kit. The hand dyed ribbon can be purchased from the Paper Wings Productions Store. I think this project would make a great gift tag for a Mother's Day present, a Spring birthday, or tied to an Easter basket. I share the tutorial for this tag HERE.

Easter-rific Place Card Holders - Moxxie

Hi! I'm sharing a set of Spring themed place cards for Moxxie today. I used a template and the Easter-rific Think Spring patterned paper to create these paper egg holders.

I added a stamped banner name tag to speckled eggs, some grass and a bright colored ribbon to each egg holder. This was a simple project that will add fun and color to my Easter table.

I want to remind you that Moxxie is having a Design Team Call! You can check out all the details and find out how to apply HERE.

Kind Words - Quick Quotes

Hi! I'm sharing a layout that I created with the NEW Serendipity collection for Quick Quotes today. The shades of blue in this collection are gorgeous! I borrowed some yellow papers from the NEW Calypso collection to add a fun pop of color to my page. These two new lines coordinate so well!

The Calypso 500 patterned paper had the perfect sentiment for my layout.

I kept the circle theme going by cutting more images from the same sheet of paper for use on a decorative strip across the bottom of my page. I inked each die-cut with Caribbean Blue PowderPuff Chalking Ink.

That's Hot ATC - Tando Creative Challenge

Hi! I'm sharing an ATC I created for Tando Creative today. The theme on the Tando Challenge Blog this month is "Upcycled." Both the dragon and the embossed foil base were cut from a coffee bag. I colored the background with alcohol ink. The flames coming out of the dragons mouth are cut from the NEW Grass Flexistrips.

Up for grabs this month are 4 pieces of Tando chipboard of your choice!  All you have to do is create a piece incorporating the monthly theme and link to the Tando Creative Challenge Blog. You don't have to use Tando products, but, if you do you'll be entered into the draw twice, doubling your chances to win.
