Fairy Magic Mixed Media Canvas - Paper Wings Productions

Fairy Magic Mixed Media Canvas by Dana Tatar for Paper Wings Productions

Hi! I'm sharing a fun piece that I created with some of the NEW stamp sets from Paper Wings Productions today. Once again, I have used the thick piece of cardstock that comes with the Nesting Components Mixed Media Kits as the base of my project.

Layered Stamped Mixed Media Background by Dana Tatar

To begin, I used the NEW Vintage Lace Clear Stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink to add the pattern to the base of my project. I then added color with an assortment of Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft Gelatos. I then added clusters of stars using the Hanging Stars Clear Stamp Set and black archival ink.

Painted Chipboard Doodle Corners by Dana Tatar

I framed the corners of my piece with Blue Fern Studios Doodle Corners Chipboard that I colored with Gelatos. Once I had the base stamped and framed, I built up layers of ephemera and torn pieces of patterned paper in the center of the background. I used the NEW Flower of Life Clear Stamp with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink to add the pattern to the kraft envelope.

I used the NEW Fairy Magic Clear Stamp Set along with some Distress Markers for the fairy shown here. I stamped the fairy onto a piece of clear packing with StazOn ink and cut out a second set of wings to layer over my colored image.

I created two whimsical embellishment clusters on either side of the fairy focal point on this piece. I cut a crochet doily in half and put one piece on each side of the piece. I then placed toadstool stickers, flowers, vintage buttons, and painted chipboard leaves on top. I hand stamped and then cut two small banners to help add movement to the page that read "sprinkle magic" and "spread moondust."

Fairy Magic Glass Bottle Embellishment by Dana Tatar

I filled a small glass bottle with Fine Antique Silver Vintage Glass Glitter. I thought this looked a bit like pixie dust! I stamped, cut, colored and layered several shapes from the NEW Sacred Geometry Clear Stamp Set to create flowers.

I used the With Wings Cling Stamp Set, from the last release, for the text.

I had a ton of fun putting this piece together! If you would like to pick up one or more of the stamp sets I used on this piece, or any of the other fantastic designs offered by Paper Wings Productions, you can use Coupon Code PWP*FAN2 to save 25% off your total purchase before shipping! You can find all the newest stamp sets HERE!

I also want to mention that I used a Zeus and Zoe Green Embellishment Kit. You can find similar kits HERE. I only used about half of my kit on this piece! The items from the kit include the green doilies, green fabric tape, white flowers, vintage buttons, green ribbon, stick pins, vintage ephemera, handmade fabric flower, vintage postcard, small glass bottle and green mist.

The Chipboard Leaves are manufactured by Tando Creative.

The Toadstools are by Flourish With A Bling. I'm not a part of their team, but I want to say that they have some of the coolest laser cut flourishes and now ship internationally! My piece wouldn't have been the same without their goodies!
